In Ruin is a dark folk act created by Terry Collia as a way to express more somber and delicate acoustic compositions. Musical influences are rooted deeply in the “neo-” or “apocalyptic” folk genre. The lyrics delve into the realms of nature, emotions and history. As of 2008, the band has a new album available on Heidenvolk Records which features guest appearances by members of Darkwood, Of the Wand & the Moon, The Arid Sea and Catonium.
